Privacy Notice

This notice explains what data Claude Exporter collects and why. We designed the extension to work without any account system, so we collect as little as possible.

1. What the extension stores

The extension itself never sends your conversation content anywhere — exports are generated and downloaded directly on your own device. The only data it stores (in your browser's local/synced extension storage, never on our servers) is:

• A random, anonymous device identifier (not linked to your name, email, or Claude account) used solely to recognize your Pro subscription across sessions.
• How many free exports you've used, and whether Pro is active.
• Your extension preferences (export format, date/time display, etc.).

2. What this checkout page collects

This page (and the extension's "Upgrade" button) sends only the random device identifier above to our subscription-status service, so it can be linked to your Paddle subscription. No conversation content, no personal identifiers.

3. Restoring a purchase with Google Sign-In

Chrome deletes the random device identifier above if you uninstall the extension, so a plain reinstall can't automatically recognize an existing subscription. If you use the optional "Restore purchase" button, the extension asks Google for a one-time, verified confirmation of which Google account you picked (via Chrome's built-in chrome.identity sign-in, not a login system of our own) and sends it to our subscription-status service only to look up a matching subscription and re-link it to your new device identifier. We never store your name, profile photo, or anything else from your Google account — only the email address, and only to perform this lookup. This step is entirely optional and is never triggered automatically or without your explicit action.

4. Payment data

All payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) are collected and processed directly by Paddle.com Market Limited, our payment processor and merchant of record. We never see or store your payment details. See Paddle's Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.

5. This website (chat-downloader.com)

This marketing site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages they open). Google may set cookies and process IP address, browser, device, and usage data according to Google's Privacy Policy. This tracking is on the website only — it is not part of the Chrome extension, and it does not receive conversation content from Claude.

6. Data retention

Subscription-status records are kept only for as long as needed to determine whether your subscription is active, and are removed on request.

7. Your rights

You can request deletion of your subscription-status record at any time by emailing us with the request (see below) — we can locate it only if you also share the device identifier, since we don't collect anything else that could identify you.
